Radiance (you take away the sun)
A
million stars fill the sky
But none
of them shine like your eyes
Clothed
in virtue and grace
Your
beauty fills my soul with light
Turn my
world upside down
Give me
new realities
Tear
apart the darkness
As the
sky crashes to the ground
Shimmer
and sparkle
Dance
with delight
Everything
I had lost
Is found
in you tonight
Ooh it’s
your radiance
Ooh
radiance
Baby you’re
so radiant
You take
away the sun
Every
time you walk into the room
When I
look into your eyes
You melt
away the moon
Baby you’re
so radiant
I want
to worship in your temple
Like a
beggar at your feet
Entering
in on my hands and knees
Mesmerize…hypnotize
me
I’m
blind to everything I see
You turn
the sun to ash
Make the
moon a ball of wax
You turn
my chaos into a symphony
Show me
the wonders of your mysteries
From the
center of the earth
To the
edge of the universe
You are
the poetry inside of me
Ooh it’s
your radiance
Ooh
radiance
Baby
you’re so radiant
You take
away the sun
Every
time you walk in the room
When I
look into your eyes
You melt
away the moon
You’re
so radiant
The
oceans roar
And the
nations rage
The
mountains crumble
As the
night begs for the day
Bring me
to life…bring me to life
You
raise me from the dead
Make me
come alive
The
stars go dark
The moon
is running red
Soul…it’s
your soul
Soul…it’s
your soul
Baby it’s
your soul
You’re
so radiant
You’re
so radiant
You’re
so radiant
Come
undone
You take
away the sun
You're so radiant
One of a set of three ballads. This song started with the idea of poetically describing incredible beauty. A beauty so radiant that it's brightness makes the sun look black in comparison. Radiant soul beauty that outshines everything. I also wanted to try using apocalyptic language as a way to describe fierce beauty.
